About the Event:
NewFI Mobile: a SaaS Microenterprise for field service technicians
NewFI Mobile Microenterprise is an intrapreneurial initiative that developed organically within GE Appliances. Originally developed in 2012 for exclusive use by its field service technicians to accurately diagnose and service GE-branded appliances in their customer’s home, this cloud-based software tool and hardware module has evolved to become a software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, offering these same tools to third-party services companies on a subscription basis.
Telema Harry, NewFI Mobile Microenterprise leader for GE Appliances, will present an overview of the NewFI system architecture, its features, functions, and benefits as an field service diagnostics tool, and how it transformed into a SaaS-based business within the larger GE Appliances enterprise with over 600 paying subscribers and growing.
