In 2015, I attended Jagathon as a freshman who was trying to find her way as a college student. I thought it would be a fun way to get involved and also support a cause that was meaningful to me: Riley Hospital for Children. By the end of the marathon, I was hooked. I emailed their president the next week and asked if there was any way that I could get involved. I joined the committee the following week and then became an Executive Board member a few months later. By my senior year, I served as Jagathon’s president.

It makes me immensely proud of my campus and community that IUPUI puts their words into action by supporting pediatric health through Jagathon. In 2018, we raised a half million dollars for the kids; as a graduate student studying Nonprofit Management, because of my experience fundraising and leading within Jagathon, I am still involved in the organization that transformed the course of my college career. FTK!
